ABOUT OTR

Our mission at On The Radar is to deliver precise athletic performance data that empowers athletes to improve and gain visibility with college scouts and coaches.

At On The Radar, we specialize in athletic performance testing and evaluation, focusing on key metrics like speed, agility, vertical jump, and explosiveness. Unlike recruiting companies, which focus on promoting athletes to colleges and securing scholarships, we provide combine-style testing data that athletes can use to improve their performance and gain exposure.

Our goal is to bridge the gap between performance and recruitment by offering verified, professional level assessments that help athletes stand out to coaches and scouts through measurable results.

Our Database

Part of our mission is to help athletes gain exposure and visibility with college scouts and coaches. We created our own database to store athlete test results with the purpose of providing access to this database to college scouts and coaches in our network. This has an advantage for athletes, parents, and coaches as follows:

Advantages for Athletes

With our business being local, primarily in the Greater Houston Area, athletes we test are not competing with the multitude of athletes nationwide, in comparison to how recruiting services operate. Your measurable data stored in our database will stand out more when you perform well, thus making you more visible to college scouts/coaches.

Advantages for Parents

With the average cost for premium recruiting services being between $1,000 -$3,000, some parents simply cannot afford the services that platforms charge monthly and/or yearly. Our testing and showcases/camps provide an affordable option for families looking to help their athlete get an opportunity to play at the next level by increasing visibility through our testing/camps.

Advantages for College Scouts/Coaches

Firstly, we offer access to our database for free to college coaches/scouts. College Scouts/Coaches who have access to our database will be able to filter athletes by a variety of “measurables”. As an example, a scout looking for a defensive back can filter through our test results. If they are looking for a defensive back in the graduation class ’26, they can filter for all football players we have tested in that graduation class. Then, add a specific height, wingspan, and weight with just a few clicks. They can then filter from those results all athletes who ran a sub 4.6 second laser 40-yard dash. Now they have a list of athletes with their names, high school, and grade level where they can reach out to their high school coach/club coach for more information on those athletes. They can also now compare game film to their testing data/measurables and use this as a tool to evaluate talent, and recruit more effectively. This saves college coaches/scouts time from having to drive/fly from state to state to find talent the old-fashioned way.

Our Equipment

To ensure we get the most accurate and reliable results, we use a variety of equipment. For speed, agility, and change of direction testing, we use VALD Performance Equipment. For vertical testing, we use the vertical challenger or powermax vertical testers. We use measuring tape for broad jump measurements. We use cones for all of our drills for marking off space, or as a guide for athletes.
